|Paddlefest 2013 Thank YOU!
Thanks to everyone who took part and helped out with Paddlefest Kilkenny 2013. The event was a roaring success and we look forward to many more similar events in the years to come.
In total we had just under 400 people take part in the weekend which included 210 experienced canoeists who came to take part in the large variety of workshops on offer, 70 volunteers who helped to co-ordinate the event and deliver the workshops and 100 new people to the sport who did taster sessions at Greens Bridge in Kilkenny thanks to Kilkenny Aqua Club and Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership.
The amount of activity over the weekend was incredible and would not have been possible with out the help and dedication of all the volunteers, clubs and businesses who supported the event and assisted in co-ordinating, running and delivering the event. A huge thanks goes out to every single one of them. A big thanks must also go out to Waterways Ireland for supporting the event and providing access to its waterways.
Like everyone who was at Paddlefest 2013 we are already looking forward to Paddlefest 2014, so we hope to see you all in Northern Ireland for the event next year. Until then happy paddling and we hope to see you at many more of out events in 2013.
