Updated RSR Notes

There are a new set of RSR support notes for Instructors running RSR courses.  

These notes provide a breakdown of the RSR competencies at each level and an expanded explanation of the RSR syllabi.  The notes are an excellent resource for course providers but also for course participants and Canoeing Ireland members.

Survey for Belfast Lough Sailability Group

Belfast Lough Sailability Group is in the process of securing a grant for £1 million for a purpose built Watersports Centre at Carrickfergus Marina for those with disabilities and disadvantaged to have access to the water.

It will be for sailing, canoeing and other associated on the water activities such as environment and education - connected
to all things maritime.

It will be available to the wider community and all Ireland of course.

The Barrow Blue Way


An invitation to find out more?

Waterways Ireland in partnership with Carlow, Kilkenny, Kildare and Laois County Councils and LEADER Companies are proposing to develop a Barrow Blueway, a 112km long shared-use trail for local people and visitors to enjoy along the route of the Barrow Way-Marked Way.

Following on from a number of studies and reports commissioned by various authorities including Waterways Ireland, the Local Authorities, LEADER Partnership Companies and Fáilte Ireland a series of interventions and programmes have been agreed and are being implemented by the agencies both collectively and individually. ONE SUCH INITIATIVE IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE Barrow Blueway.
