Junior Kayak School Term 1, 2017

Who is it for?

  • Junior School is aimed at those with kayaking experience who has obtained a level 1 or level 2 certificate, but is still at basic level.
  • The sessions will be focused on Skills training in river runner kayaks with workshops in a different discipline with an Instructor highly experienced in that discipline.
  • This includes a qualified instructor/s and use of the Training Centre’s Gear.
  • The Camp will operate from our Training Centre on the Strawberry beds, Lucan.

Senior Kayak School Term 1, 2017

Who is it for?

  • Senior School is aimed at those with kayaking experience who have obtained a level 2 certificate.
  • Session will focus on moving water skills and developing skills in multiple disciplines. Working towards level 3 skills.
  • This includes a qualified instructor/s and use of the Training Centre’s Gear.
  • The Camp will operate from our Training Centre on the Strawberry beds, Lucan, and will also include river trips.

Term 1, March 2017

The first term of the Junior and Senior Kayak Schools starts on Saturday the 4th October.

Junior School (8-12 yrs. age) runs for 7 weeks

Senior School (12 – 16 yrs. age) runs for 7 weeks

What to bring

We supply all the kayaking gear. What you need to bring is appropriate clothing for under the wetsuit, Shorts/Swimming gear, warm fleece/hoodie or thermal that can get wet and also old runners and a towel

Children must be signed in and out of the school every day by a parent or guardian, we do not allow children to “come and go” by themselves.
