Wow what a fantastic day today!

We hope you all had an amazing time. A huge thanks to the Polo, Sprint, Slalom and WWR committee for putting together some super events today and finishing ahead of schedule!  Also a huge thanks to our sponsors I-Canoe, Great Outdoors, Cotswold Outdoor, Palm, Dagger, Peak UK and Pyranha for making the Sluice look the absolute business today in the sunshine.

Tomorrow looks set to be another cracking day, can’t wait.  A quick reminder of the plans for tomorrow.  Please ensure you are wearing your correct bib number tomorrow, quite a few people today wearing the wrong bibs, confirm your number with your club rep tonight or in the morning please!

Marathon and Freestyle will kick off at 9am tomorrow morning to try and finish early again tomorrow.  No start lists for either, Freestyle heats will be set up in the morning, briefing under the oak tree at the weir at 9am sharp.

Marathon race will start at 9, in waves as usual, K2’s, K1’s, Sea Kayaks & WWR, GP, Others.  Marathon finish is after Palmerstown Weir indicated by two Dagger Kayak Flags flying on either bank.  We have small rescue teams set up for each weir, but could always use a few extra numbers.  If there are any paddlers hanging around tomorrow morning who can help, please send me a text on 087 1213152 or have a chat with me tonight in the Lucan County.

Tomorrow afternoon the Rafting Race will kick off as early as possible once the marathon and freestyle are complete.  Clubs can enter as many rafts as they like, but each person can only paddle in one raft, please abide by this rule!  Raft runs will go as people are ready.  One run for each raft, once you reach the bottom of the course please carry your raft back to the start as quick as you can.

The Le Mans heats will follow as soon as the Raft Race is over
