This years Club Champs will help to promote Cloondara and County Longford as an excellent paddling destination and support the huge capital and resource investment that Waterways Ireland have put into Canoeing over the last 12 months.  Waterways Ireland have a recently refurbished lock keepers cottage in Cloondara which they would be interested in developing into a local Canoe Club off the back of the Club Champs.

Longford County Council are also on board and will be coordinating the Longford Blueway Festival to cooincide with the Club Championships event, with talk already of busking festivals in Cloondara and Live Radio Broadcasts.

With a great little Pub right next to the main activity hub, on site Waterways Ireland toilets, showers and community hall and the possibility of onsite camping next to the river, this weekend is going to be a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

With competitions in every discipline the 2016 Club Champs is going to be an incredible event which is accessible to every member of every Canoe Club in Ireland.   We look forward to seeing plenty of ye there to support this great event.  More information on the event can be found here.
