Junior Paddlefest is an inter-club, multi discipline event supported by Canoeing Ireland.

This Paddlesports weekend is aimed at juniors who wish to try some of the main Paddlesport disciplines – Freestyle, Marathon, Polo, Sprint, Slalom & Wildwater racing. This event allows Juniors to have fun with new friends, work on their paddling skills in a variety of different crafts and stretch their knowledge of paddling and connect them with clubs around Ireland.

All activities happen in a safe, fun and friendly, learning environment.

When is it on:

September 20th and 21st 2019

What are the aims:

  • Introduce the juniors to different Paddling disciplines: Canoeing, Freestyle, Marathon, Polo, Seakayaking, Sprint, Slalom, Wildwater Racing.
  • Improve paddling skill in their current discipline.
  • Increase participation levels in the competitive disciplines
  • Introduce juniors to discipline coaches .
  • Encourage future growth of junior members in clubs around the country.
  • Enjoyment and fun.

Where is it:

Hidden Valley Camping and Caravan Park – Rathdrum. This is a (very nice) camping and caravan park, with a big pond/small lake in the middle and the Avonmore River beside it.
