As winter draws in and water levels rise and temperatures get lower Canoeing Ireland would like to take this opportunity to encourage all paddlers to continue to “Enjoy the Water” while taking extra safety precautions to take account of the added risks.

Before getting on the water:-

  • Check weather and water conditions
  • Ensure you and your group paddle within your limits
  • Ensure you have proper gear and equipment up for your trip -see recommended list of minimum equipment for all members of group

Have fun and be safe!
