Canoeing Ireland are delighted to welcome 2 new members to the Team. Ciaran ‘Kipper’ Maguire is your new Events and Development manager, a stand out character from the Irish paddlesports scene, Ciaran has a fantastic history of involvement in a diverse range of outdoor events and programmes. We cant wait to start delivering better and more numerous paddlesports events with Ciaran on board.
We would also like to welcome Coach Jon Simmons to the team. Jon was successfully appointed the role of Talent Development Coach for canoe sprint. Jon, a former GB canoe sprint athlete and Level 2 Coach is known for his passion and expertise in flat water racing. Part of Jon’s role will be the regional development of the Olympic sport of canoe sprint. Canoeing Ireland look forward to working with Jon in this new and exciting role.
