Canoeing Ireland has won National Governing Body of the Year at the Irish Sport Industry Awards. To have been nominated amongst some incredible organisations was a great honor for us. To have won is the ultimate testament to the work of the entire team and community in paddle sports, and their commitment to bringing our sport into the future.
Our submission for the Irish Sport Industry Awards covered the outstanding work done over the last year in High Performance, Women in Sport, Inclusion, and Environmental Stewardship. With some of the standout highlights being qualifying 3 boats for the Paris Olympics, the incredible success of the PaddleAble ambassador programme for inclusion in paddle sports, and the hosting of the ICF Women in Sport symposium. As always our incredible staff team, our supportive board and the volunteers all around the country have been part of this outstanding progress, and making Canoeing Ireland the organisation it is today.
