Joining a club provides paddlers with excellent opportunities to take part in canoeing activities and learn from more experienced members. The club scene in Ireland is extremely social and a great way to meet new people as you explore the sport of canoeing.
There are many canoe clubs around the country that welcome new members. Different clubs operate in different ways, many clubs have well-established facilities with changing rooms, showers and gear stores, some clubs are “roof rack” clubs with no fixed base. Different clubs also focus on different disciplines of canoeing, varying from a mix of all disciplines, to specific recreational or competitive disciplines.
